The Hong Kong Loss Prevention Association (HKLPA) was established in 2010 and is based in Hong Kong and with agents in Macau.  It lines up loss prevention professionals, specialists, consultants and practitioners with a view to promoting Loss Prevention as a profession as well as an industry.  It builds a platform on which members can share best loss prevention practices from around the world and come up with best loss prevention solutions with the aid of latest methodology and technology.  In the recent past, there were successful cases where members from different trades and disciplines teamed up to comprehensively tackle loss prevention related cases and issues referred to the Association.

The HKLPA also provides members with services as defined in its Constitution and training to those who wish to become Certified Loss Prevention Officers, Certified LPO® , a registered trademark of the HKLPA in the People's Republic of China.  In the context of its loss prevention framework, the HKLPA re-dimensions Loss Prevention from a corporate perspective.
